The Museum of National Resistance is located in the village Theriso and includes rich photographic material from the period of the National Resistance of 1941-1945. The Museum includes weapons and heirlooms of fighters as well as various objects and clippings of newspapers of that period.

It is the sole museum of its kind in Crete and between its objectives is the recording, study, projection and maintenance of historical memory of Cretan National Resistance during the period 1941-1945. The Museum opened during the summertime of 2003
